Embedded object

An EMBEDDED OBJECT is one that is created with an application other than the application in which it is stored. When updating an embedded object, it must be edited within the application in which it is stored. EXAMPLE: If an object is created with another application but is stored in PowerPoint, to update the object, it must be edited in PowerPoint.
